The DKW F12 Roadstar was presented in September 1963 and produced in a small series by Baur Karosserie- und Fahrzeugbau in Stuttgart from early 1964 to early 1965. After the takeover by Volkswagenwerk in March 1966, Auto Union discontinued production of the vehicles.
