Description
Artist: Berthold Teske (1938-2014)
Teske grew up in Bromberg, West Prussia, and fled to Potsdam in 1945. He first studied at the Workers' and Peasants' Faculty of Fine Arts in Dresden and then at the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin. He often worked with colored sandstone and his objects were strongly influenced by religious motifs and his life as a Mormon. He lived in Kremmen (Brandenburg) for the last few years.
