From Egypt to Marwitz - from a great distance, over land and sea now near: A decorative window-iron grate from Alexandria in the 20s of is the focus here. The spirit of past colonial era in Egypt of the last century blows through the curves of iron. Indirectly this artwork has traveled through our workshops and adorns an elegant console at present.
The rare combination of rust and a delicate lilac shade was obtained with a complex process, and thus preserves the romantic, original charm. In order to apply the high-gloss finish of the rusty underground was only preserved complexly with a special penetrating oil preserving it from further rusting. A historic oak plans was modernly re-worked to a now distinguished touch of the hand wood surface, a clear framework: a window into another world!
